February Favourites

Happy Leap Day! I can't believe February is almost over. It's honestly been a pretty crazy month for me, starting off with me being sick, followed by a mixture of ups and downs. I'm somewhat glad it's over, but also don't like wishing my life away. Hopefully March will start to bring some warmer weather and some more exciting moments.

I've tried a fair few new products this past month, and wanted to share some of the things that I've really been loving with you.

Sigma Brush Cleaning Mat

So I actually ordered this about 3 days before Real Techniques announced they were bringing out their brush cleaning tray, and honestly I was so bummed! I ordered this off of ebay for around £5, so it probably isn't an actual Sigma mat, but it's identical. This one sits in your sink and has multiple textures for cleaning and rinsing different types of makeup brushes. I do really love using it, and definitely think it gives my brushes a good scrub!

Essentially Natural Foundation by No7

Now I've been using mineral foundation in a powder form for around the last ten months, and have only used my liquid foundation once or twice since then. At the end of January I was walking around the Boots store in Liverpool Street station, and one of the No7 girls offered to do my colour match. The little machine they use picks out your exact match of foundation (mine was Calico) and so I decided to pick up their Essentially Natural foundation to try. I honestly love it, especially with having such dry skin in the winter months, and as much as I love my mineral foundation, I think I'll be sticking with this for a while.

Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques

Now that I'm back to using liquid foundation, I thought it was about time I added this brush to my collection. I absolutely love the Real Techniques brushes, and just thought this was a great one to get. I was previously using the buffing brush but I much prefer the shape and texture of this one. It's a perfect foundation brush.

Velvet Lash Mascara by No7

Another product I picked up thanks to that consultation was the fairly new Velvet Lash mascara that No7 do. I've always tried different mascaras, as I've never been fully happy with one, but I feel like this may be one that I re-buy. My lashes end up looking both longer and fuller, but still look really natural, and are also left feeling super soft as opposed to clumpy and dry.

Sugar Crush Hand Food by Soap & Glory

I love the Sugar Crush scent so much that I ended up with four of their Once Upon A Lime gift sets after Christmas (I bought three of them in the sale!) and I couldn't be happier. The scent is gorgeous, and I've been using up the miniature hand creams that came in the sets. I've been a big fan of Soap & Glory's Hand Food for a good few years, and am using it a good few times a day just to keep my hands lovely in the cold.

Writing Prompts for the Creative Scribe Notebook

I picked this notebook up in TKMaxx in January, and absolutely love it. Each page has a different prompt of something to write about, and it's been so fun testing some out. I've been wanting to write more, and it's a great way to do that. I'm aiming to do at least one page a week, and may even turn some of them into blog posts.

That's all for my favourites this month. Have you been particularly loving anything? Let me know!
