A Colourful Book Haul

I have a really bad habit of buying new books when I've not got the capacity to read them. I currently have about 50 on my to-read shelf, but just can't resist buying more. Basically I'm a book addict.

I thought I'd show you what I bought, so here's a little round up. I also picked up Holly Bourne's The Manifesto on How to be Interesting a few weeks ago at Waterstone's YA and Feminism event I attended, but forgot to include it!

Making It Up As I Go Along by Marian Keyes

I picked this one up as I went to her Waterstones event last Wednesday, and it was absolutely brilliant. I love Marian Keyes, and she was absolutely hilarious at the event, but also super lovely to meet! I love that this book is made up of essays, a little like The Opposite of Loneliness which was one of my January reads. It makes it so much easier to read on the train to work, and there's so much compacted into the one book.

Sheltering Rain and Foreign Fruit by Jojo Moyes

I LOVE Jojo Moyes, and as Me Before You is possibly my favourite book of all time, I wanted to add a few more of her books to my collection. I read The One Plus One last month too, and read The Girl You Left Behind and After You last year. These two were the next on my list to pick up, so I can't wait to read them!

Mary Poppins by P. L. Travers

Now shock horror, but I'd never read Mary Poppins before this month. I was watching Saving Mr Banks again at the start of the month, and it made me want to pick up the book to read. I actually read it last week, so it'll be in my February reads when they go live!

Brooklyn by Colm Toibin

I love Saoirse Ronan and really want to see Brooklyn, but know I'll be annoyed at myself if I don't read it first. I've picked up the book and will try and get it read in the next month or so, so that I can let myself watch the film. I've seen the trailer for the movie, and I'm pretty sure I'll love the storyline from just seeing that, so I'm excited!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

So I've actually read this, and almost all of Rainbow's books, but I've been meaning to re-read it. The first time I read it I used my e-reader, so thought I'd treat myself and my book shelf to it! If you haven't read Fangirl I'd definitely recommend it!

What A Girl Wants by Lindsey Kelk

I haven't actually started this series, but have read all of the I Heart series. My friend Kirsty recommended this to me, and I somehow had About A Girl (the first in the trilogy) and A Girl's Best Friend (the final book) but didn't have this one. I'm going to get started on this series soon, and I'm super excited for it!

Have you picked any books up recently? Let me know! And don't forget to check out my last book post, which was a Would You Rather? Book Edition - it was pretty tough to answer...
