#BloggersBelowZero

When I got invited to Icebar London by the lovely Lauren from LDNmeet, I knew I couldn't resist! I'd wanted to go to an ice bar for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity. We arrived at the venue at 6pm, and once all the bloggers arrived we headed downstairs to their warmer bar area. We had both rooms, and were served lovely cocktails all evening (I believe they were the Suicide Blonde - Absolut vodka, fresh lime, elderflower cordial and Prosecco!) as well as some delicious canapes. We then had a welcome from Tom, their head of marketing, and Molly who's digital editor of Phoenix magazine. Both were wonderful, and you could tell how enthusiastic they were about including bloggers in their work - it was definitely great to see!

When it came to the Icebar itself, we headed up in three groups throughout the night. I was in the first group, so once the time came, we headed up to see what we'd all waited for. The Icebar was incredible. They change the theme everytime they re-do the bar, so the current theme is Icebar Rocks. It was full of rock-themed sculptures, including skulls and a drum kit, and there was an incredible tattoo-like carving on one wall. We all attempted to take lots of pictures, however it was rather difficult keeping one hand gloveless for camera use whilst the room was around -5 degrees!

We each got a drinks voucher before heading in, so we got to have a cocktail in the super cool ice glasses that they had. I went for one of the gin based cocktails (of course), which was the November Rain (Beefeater Gin, Aperol, Apple Juice, Lemon Juice, Blueberry Syrup). Having it in a glass made of ice was pretty special, and it definitely added to the experience.

I honestly had such a great time in the bar, and the team there were so lovely! I think I may have to pay the bar a visit again when the next theme comes around, as it's so impressive to see. Again, a massive thank you to both Tom and Lauren for arranging the event! And one final note - I was actually at the event alone, so a little shout out to Emma and Leanne for chatting to me all evening!
