Back To Basics Birchbox Unboxing

I’ve never been a huge fan of subscription boxes. I got a few Pink Parcel’s earlier on in the year, and also grabbed the Royally Good Birchbox, but as I hadn’t had one in a while, I thought it’d be a good idea to try some new products. This month Birchbox were offering a choice of two boxes, the Stylist Box and the Back To Basics box. I went for the Back To Basics box as it was most appealing, so decided to share what I received with you.

What’s in the box?

Eyeko Fat Liquid Liner in Black (Full Size)
I wear felt tip liner on a daily basis, and although I’m extremely happy with the one I currently use, I’m always looking to try a new one. This eyeliner is a little fat for my liking, but I think I’ll be able to get the look I want by angling the pen a little, so hopefully it won’t go to waste. The liner itself is super pigmented so that’s a plus.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (Full Size)
I was really happy that this was in the box, as I’m a huge fan and running low on my second bottle. Seche Vite is perfect for people like me who never find the time to let their nails dry, or never have the patience. The box was definitely worth it just for the full size version of this included!

Bioderma Hydrabio H20
I’ve been a fan of micellar water for a while, and really wanted to try the Bioderma one having heard a lot about it. This version has Aquagenium in it, which is meant to lock in moisture levels - perfect for my dry skin!

Regenerate Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste
Although a toothpaste sample wasn’t exactly what I was expecting in a beauty box, it was a nice addition. The toothpaste is meant to reverse the early invisible signs of enamel erosion, as well as whiten the teeth. I’m definitely going to be giving this one a go.

Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner
I love trying new products on my hair, so was glad this shampoo was in the box. It’s also nice that Birchbox chucked in a small sachet of the conditioner to try too, however it would have been better if it was the same size as the bottle of shampoo.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the box just for the Seche Vite and Bioderma. I’ve seen people not very happy with the box, which I understand, as the range of products wasn’t the best, but it’s definitely not going to stop me from buying another in the future.
