August Favourites

I say this every month, but I can't believe we're into another month of 2015 - it's going so fast! September pretty much marks the end of Summer, and I have had one of the best yet. I am super excited for Autumn, and then Winter too, as I've got so many great things planned. Before we get to those, here's a look at my favourite things from August.

Speedy Nail Paint by Barry M in Turbo Charge
I wrote about the Speedy polishes that Barry M brought out earlier in the year, but it took me a while to pick up the new bright summer colours that they released. Finally I gave in, and I am so glad I did. This beautiful coral colour has been one of my favourite nail varnishes to wear the past month, and although it has a little glitter in it that I wasn't too keen on to begin with, I think it looks stunning on. I'm definitely going to try and get a bit more use out of this for the year before summer is officially over!

Angled Kabuki Brush by ecotools
I have absolutely been loving my Dusty Girls mineral foundation, but when my kabuki brush (I think it was Lottie London) started falling apart I knew I needed a new one. I bought the ecotools one after a few recommendations, and I'm so glad I did. It's super soft, and my foundation goes on smoothly and lightly - just how I want it.

Dream A Little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher
I absolutely loved reading Giovanna's past two books, and I hoped that I'd love this one just as much. I could not put it down. It was so good, and I even cried a little on my train home one day reading it. I love Giovanna's writing so much and this book has definitely secured a place in my list of favourite books. Also, a huge congratulations to Gi & Tom who announced yesterday they're expecting baby #2!

Drag Me Down by One Direction
I was hesitant about putting this one in, because there is such a stigma around liking boybands, but after reading Kelsey's post on the matter, I have decided to share my love of them with you. I have literally been listening to this song all month, and I love it. It's quite possibly one of my favourite songs of the year so far.

Harry Potter pyjamas from Primark
As soon as I spotted these pyjamas, I couldn't resist picking a pair up. I love the range of pyjamas that Primark sell, and the fact that a lot of them you can mix and match to suit the styles you like. I already have a pair of Harry Potter pyjamas that Kelsey and I decided to match in in Canada, but I really loved this marauder's map pair. The bottoms are leggings, which are great because they aren't baggy/too long on my short legs, and the top is oversized but isn't too baggy. If you're a Harry Potter fan, I'd definitely go and pick a pair up!
