June Favourites

The start of July has been a busy one, but I couldn't resist squeezing in my June favourites. Better late than never, as they say!

#SophAcrossThePond
I can't start off my June favourites without my trip to North America, because it took up a big portion of June. It was such an amazing trip, and I would say it was the trip of a lifetime, but I already know I'm going back. I spent a week visiting the lovely Kelsey in Ontario and then headed to America to see my friend Emily in Indiana/Chicago and then spent 48 hours in NY. It was incredible, and definitely my favourite part of June. I have been slowly blogging about bits of it with my super cool hashtag #SophAcrossThePond and instagrammed lots of pictures when I was there!

Keds
Now, I'd been meaning to pick up a pair of Keds for a while, and knew I would grab a pair in the US (my North America haul will be up soon!) I actually got three pairs, and then came home and bought this fourth pair. They are SO comfortable, so easy to wear, have super cute designs and I really just love them. I don't think I'll ever wear any other brands of 'sneakers' again.

Sunglasses from New Look
I knew sunglasses would be important for my trip, and so I obviously wanted a new pair to add to the pairs I already have floating around. I picked up these cute ones in New Look, and wore them for my entire trip. I loved that they were grey, rather than black, and they seemed to suit me. I wore them a lot throughout June, so I couldn't really leave them out of my favourites.

Audio Books
Part of my trip consisted of a 17 hour coach journey from Chicago to New York, and as a way of killing the time I planned to listen to audio books. I usually love reading, but knew that on a coach it probably wouldn't be ideal, so decided to get a 3 month subscription to audible for 99p a month back in April, so I could have three books for my trip. I really loved listening to the audio books, and didn't stop when I was back home doing my daily commute. It's great if you don't feel like you can concentrate on reading a book, and just want to sit and be read to.

Yes Please by Amy Poehler
The audio book I spent my coach journey listening to was Yes Please by Amy Poehler. I'd already bought the physical copy but didn't get round to reading it, so thought that listening to it would be a great plan instead. If you haven't read or listened to this book, please go and do it now. It's brilliant, Amy's brilliant and listening to her read it out just made it even more brilliant. It's possibly my favourite book of the year so far.

PocketBac by Bath & Body Works
Possibly the most random of favourites for this month, but definitely a worthy one. This is the hand gel that my friend picked up for me on holiday a few months back, but when I went to America I ended up bringing back another 10. They smell gorgeous, leave your hands feeling nice and aren't at all drying. I love mine (and will share the 6 I bought for myself in my haul) and can't stop using it whenever I feel the need.

That's all for June's favourites, and I'll hopefully be back to twice a week blogging from next week!
