March Favourites

I can't believe it's already a week into April! March went so quickly, and was also a super busy month for me, which did mean there was a lack of posts written - sorry sorry sorry!

I've really been loving how 2015 has been going so far, and March was definitely another month on the list of great ones. I booked my first ever solo holiday (here's a bit more on that) and just really enjoyed everything else I got up to. I'm hoping every month is going to have great moments like every month in 2015 has so far, but in the meantime here are some of my favourite things in March.

Booking A Holiday
I'm going to start with the non-physical thing first - my holiday! Possibly the best thing about the month, and the thing that has made me oh so happy since it happened was booking my big trip. I say big trip, but it's only 2 and a bit weeks. I'm heading over to Canada to visit the lovely Kelsey (if you haven't read her blog, you definitely should) and then down to Indiana to visit my friend Emily, before heading to New York for 48 hours by myself. The trip itself isn't til June, and I'll definitely be posting a lot more about it before then, but booking it and planning it and just getting super excited about it was my most favourite thing about March for sure.

Country Music
Another non-physical thing for the month - country music. Now I wasn't fortunate enough to head to Country 2 Country this year, but I did get to go to the CMA Songwriters Series on the 6th March, and Hunter Hayes' first UK show on the 20th March. Both shows were completely different, but both shows celebrated how amazing country music is, and how important it is to bring it over to the UK. I was front row for the CMA Songwriters Series, and amongst other incredible songs I got to sit and listen to Brandy Clark sing the song that this blog is named after, which was incredible. The Hunter Hayes show was absolutely incredible, and I'm actually seeing him again next month which I'm super excited for.

Lush's Ultrabland Cleanser
Now, I was unsure whether to put this on here because I've recently caved and bought the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, but this definitely was a favourite product for the month. I absolutely loved this cleanser - I have sensitive skin and need something nice and gentle, and this worked actual wonders. The only reason I'm moving on from it to something different is because of it's use by date - I couldn't get through the smaller sized pot in time - and also because I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of it. Other than that, it left my skin feeling lovely, smelt great and was nice and gentle, so it definitely deserves to be a favourite this month.

George Home Mini Hares Duvet Set
I think this is quite possibly the best duvet set I've ever seen, and so naturally I had to have it. I've always been a lover of owls, but have really started loving all woodland creatures in the past few years, so anything with rabbits (well, hares) on is a definite love. This duvet cover is so adorable, and it's a nice neutral colour which means it fits in with my green carpet and bright floral curtains. I'd never had a duvet set from ASDA before, but it's lovely and soft, and it was such a great price.

Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer
This book is definitely one of the best I've read in a while, as it was just so different to things I'd usually read. The story is narrated by 19 year-old Matthew, who has been mentally affected by the death of his brother when he was a lot younger. You can tell just how much the death affected him, and how it's turned him into such a haunted character. It's so faultlessly written, and it covers a topic that so badly needs to be addressed and spoken about today - mental health. If you fancy a really good read that will honestly change the way you think about life and grief, then this is one for you.

Clipper Pear & Honey Green Tea*
At the start of the month, I got contacted by the lovely team at Clipper about a project that I currently don't think I can say much more on (I'll tell you soon, don't worry!) and part of that meant that they sent me a lovely collection of their green teas. They sent me a great range, and so I decided to try some of the flavours this month. The pear and honey flavour was the first flavour I tried, and has definitely been my favourite so far. It's got the sweetness of the pear and honey that gives the green tea a lovely sweet edge. It's delicious, and if you're a green tea fan it's definitely one to try. If you are trying this, or any other green tea don't forget to let your hot water cool down a little before you put the teabag in - you don't want to burn the tea leaves!

I hope you had a great March, and a great start to April so far!
