Planning The Big Trip

I sort of did something a little crazy last week. It may not seem crazy to most, but it was definitely semi-spontaneous. I decided to book a trip to Canada/America in June. It's been a dream of mine to go over for the past 6 years or so, and so I decided to just take the jump, and follow that dream.

Now, I was originally planning on booking the trip and going over in December/January, so it wasn't that crazy and out of the blue, but considering I changed my mind on the Sunday and booked the flights on the Tuesday, it was a little spontaneous. I am incredibly lucky to have friends that live across the pond, so being able to visit them has been a plan for me for a while now.

Me & Kelsey (2009) | Me & Emily (2010)
I'll be heading off to Toronto on the 5th June to see Kelsey (you should all read her blog), and will then head down to Indiana/Chicago to visit Emily, before spending 48 hours in New York. To say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement. I've been friends with both girls for around the same length of time - Kelsey came over in June 2009 and June 2012, and Emily came to visit in June 2010 (June is clearly our month!), so it's been a fair amount of time with me saying I'll go and visit them.

I'm going to be blogging a little more about the trip over the next few months, but would love to know anywhere you think I should visit when I'm in Toronto, Chicago/Indiana & NY as I'm busy planning all the things I want to see at the moment. I'd also love to know if there's anything I should buy when I'm out there to bring back!

I'm so excited & can't wait to share everything about the trip with you.

  1. Woo! How exciting! I love booking spontaneous trips - it's always so nice when you don't have to wait too long to go and do something. Looking forward to hearing more about it! x
