January Favourites

I can't believe we're already over 1/12 of the way through 2015. January just seemed to fly by, especially as I was so busy. I wasn't sure if I'd carry on with my favourites posts this year, but there have just been so many things I've loved already that I couldn't help but write this post.

MAC Lipstick in Russian Red

Now I had to kick off my favourites with this, because it's definitely my most favourite thing this month. I got my first MAC product for my birthday from my lovely friend Si, and I am just in love with it. She actually knew it was the colour I wanted, as we were in the MAC store a few weeks before, and so she cleverly took notice and bought me it. I was a little sceptical at first, as my lips are already quite dry, so I wasn't sure how the matte finish would work, but it's absolutely gorgeous. It may be my first MAC lipstick, but it's definitely not going to be my last!

benefit's smokin' eyes kit

Now this was another birthday present (lucky me 'ey?!), and again I absolutely love it! It's just the cutest little kit that seems to have everything eye-related in it. I love the size and compactness, the fact it contains brow zings and how everything is in one place. Now I'm not so good at the smokey eye look, or anything eye shadow related at all, but having this kit is definitely going to make me practise more!

Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream

My face is usually pretty dry, but the added cold weather has made it even worse over the past few months. I already had a great selection of winter beauty essentials, but it hit me at the end of December that I could probably do with a night cream to add even more moisture to my face. I picked up this product for a number of reasons - it was a great price, my skin can get irritated easily and I already had a face moisturiser by Simple that I use daily. The cream is lovely and thick, soaks in nicely to the face and is an all round great product.

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

After countless reccommendations of this book, I decided to pick it up as the second of my 22 books read in 2015 (and first of my 22 read at 22!) and boy am I glad I did. What an inspirational read. Sophia's story is such an interesting one and is definitely one to inspire others. Whether you start an online fashion business like her, or just want to follow your dreams, there is definitely a #GIRLBOSS in all of us.

Black Double Zip Tote Bag

With January being both my birthday month and my first pay day at my new job, it was only right to treat myself a little, and what better thing to treat yourself to than a new bag? (And my new phone of course!) I needed something that'd be big enough to carry what I needed for work - a book for my commute and my lunch box to name a few. I really liked the lighter colour of this style, but decided to be practical and go for the black, as I knew the other would get filthy with everyday use. The only downer is that there's no zip, but other than that it's probably my most favourite bag I've owned, and it was such a great price too.

Youtube: Sam & Nia

Family's that vlog on YouTube are a little bit of a guilty pleasure of mine (the SacconeJolys, Hannah Maggs and ItsJudyLife are two of my faves) and so it was great finding another family to watch when I came across the Raders. They originally went viral on YouTube for Good Looking Parent Sing Disney's Frozen which I saw early last year, and now they daily vlog. Sam and Nia are both so much fun, and their kids Symphony and Abram are just adorable! I'm definitely hooked.
What were your favourites to kick off 2015? I loved January and hope that the rest of the year is just as great!
