Belated Birthday & Bloggers

It's been a crazy couple of weeks, which resulted in a lack of posts, but I'm back! I've had a wonderful few days and I thought I'd share them with you.

After work on Friday I met up with one of my oldest friends Kirsty, before heading out for dinner to (belatedly) celebrate my birthday. My other friend Natalie came too, and we had a lovely meal at Giraffe in Spitalfields. We had some lovely cocktails (of course) including a Banoffee Martini which was incredible.

We then headed over to Queen of Hoxton and met with a few of my other friends which was also fun. The only disappointing part of the night was the photobooth not printing, but I did get to email myself the digital copies!

As much as I'd have loved a lie in on Saturday morning, I was up nice and early getting ready for two bloggers events. I met up with Kayleigh from Very Berry Cosmo at 10:30 and we headed up to Camden for #TheBloggersMarket. We didn't get to spend too long there, but it was great to meet Olivia, Carrie and a few other bloggers that had put on the event, and I got my hands on a gorgeous pair of boots from Olivia's stall for £6 and a hand-inked postcard that Carrie made for £1.

Then it was off to Bitter Sweet in Soho for the #nyLDNmeet hosted by Amy, Lauren and Tamsyn. The event was brilliant - there was a cocktail making class, I had my hair styled by the lovely Fordham Soho team and also had my nails done by one of the Cucumba ladies. It was so great to meet so many other bloggers (and to cross something extra off my 22 at 22 list!) and to just have such an enjoyable afternoon out. It even meant a chance of testing out one of the girl's selfie sticks to take a couple of photos of a group of us.

The lovely ladies from MooGoo were also there to tell us all about their new mineral beauty range launching very soon called Dusty Girls, and also gave us an insight into the products in the MooGoo range. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the Dusty Girls products when they launch, so watch this space.

It was such a great afternoon, and we got to take home an amazing goodybag full of some lovely products, lots of food including the very tasty marshmallows by Mallow and Marsh as well as some goodies from Myprotein. I also won a Lee Stafford hair curler and some lovely Argan Oil bits in the charity raffle, which means I have no excuses in terms of only having my hair straight from now on!

To everyone that I met, please leave me a comment so I can have a nose at your blog! I hope you've all had a great weekend and it feels so great to be back at blogging after almost 2 weeks!

  1. I'm not actually sure if I met you (I am soooo awful at remembering names and faces!) but I was there yesterday! It was such an amazing day but I'm gutted I didn't speak to more people!
