Barry M get Speedy

When it comes to nail varnish, I completely struggle with having the patience to leave it to dry, and quite often it gets taken off quicker than it’s put on. When I found out that Barry M were bringing out their new Speedy range, I couldn’t resist. They actually launched in shops a little earlier than they were meant to and so I ended up getting Kiss Me Quick for my birthday. I couldn’t resist picking up a couple more when they actually launched, so went for In A Heart Beat and Pit Stop.

The range comes in nine different pastel shades, all equally as gorgeous as the next. There aren’t any shades from the range that I don’t like, although I was particularly drawn to Pit Stop and Lap of Honour as they’re the sort of shades I’d typically go for. I love In A Heart Beat and Kiss Me Quick too, but I’d probably wear them mainly in the summer, rather than all year round.

As the colours in the range are quite light, they do take a fair few coats. I tended to use around 3 with each shade, although some nails did need an extra top up. The polish itself glides on, and dries extremely quickly. The only big issue I had was the use of a top coat - I've just got my hands on the Seche Vite top coat again, which is great, because unless it’s a fast drying one the nails are still prone to smudging.

I definitely can’t complain about anything with this range, as I love the shades, the formula and most importantly the fact they actually do what they do on the tin and dry extremely quickly. In all honesty, I wish all nail varnishes were made like this so they’d dry as quick. I did find the struggle with using a normal topcoat with them, as this then caused them to smudge, but as soon as I used them with a quick drying top coat they came out perfectly. I’m definitely going to go out and purchase Lap of Honour next, and possibly another shade too as they’re currently 2 for £7 at Boots and Superdrug (or £3.99 each).

Have you tried any of the new Speedy range? Let me know what you think and which colours you’re loving!

    1. I love their Gelly shades too, but these are my favourite polishes ever. I struggle with waiting for my nails to dry so I couldn't have asked for a better new range really. Heart Beat is probably my favourite of the three x

  3. I keep meaning to pick some of these up - good to know that seche vite will fit with them as that's my go-to top coat. I love pit stop.

    1. You definitely should! Seche vite works wonders with them. I tried a normal top coat as I'd ran out and they still ended up smudging x
